3D Monitors

At this moment in time for viewing 3D on a monitor you will need glasses as the 3D monitors use stereoscopic technology. This is where the viewer receives a different image to each eye and the brain then puts the images together to make the 3D illusion. Stereoscopy was invented in 1838 by Sir Charles Wheatstone... Only now in 2010 are manufacturers starting to add this technology into TV’s and Monitors.

The downside for needing glasses is that you will have to buy a pair of glasses for each person that will be viewing the screen. This can become very expensive.
