3D Stereoscopic Camcorders
3D video recording has now moved forward in technology with the use of stereoscopic lenses. This technique enables two separate visual recordings representing the left and right eye to be recorded through the single camera. The Panasonic AG-3DA1 is one example of a camera with stereoscopic lens capabilities. As well as using dual lenses to create a 3D effect, the subject matter and surroundings need to be manipulated and positioned accordingly in order to create a beneficial depth of field. It’s this depth of field positioning combined with the effects from the stereoscopy that create the 3D images you see on your home screens and cinema.
