With P2, data is captured instantly, enabling recording of important footage not available to tape methods, and thumbnail clip selection is available to view from the flip-out screen of the Camcorder. As the P2 card slots into most laptop computers, with Windows XP or 2000 and suitable non-linear software, editing is easily performed directly from the P2 card itself. P2 is versatile allowing recording in DV, DVCPRO 25 and DVCPRO 50. It is also possible with low resolution MPEG4 proxy to send data over the internet to studio post production facilities or news room broadcasts.
