Panasonics latest addition to the P2 family is the HPX-2100. This 2/3" HD Camcorder combines outstanding quality with high sensitivity.
This camera is also highly versatile, with multi format capability allowing you to record in 1080i/720p HD or SD. Add to that the operational mobility and the advanced technological workflow, and you can see why this camera is shaping the future of High Definition capturing.
The HPX-2100 can work at different compression rates including DVCPRO HD, 50, 25 and DV as well as being compatible with the new AVC-Intra Codec. This new codec offers comparible DVCPRO HD quality, but at half the bit rate which effectively doubles the recording time per P2 Card.
The camera retains the innovative features of P2, providing hot swap, loop and pre-recording, plus the immediate access to a recorded video clip through the thumbnail menu.
