High Performance HD Lenses
Due to the fact that the aspect ratio of HDTV is 16: 9 - which is wider and shorter in height than the normal SDTV 4:3 system - the density of scanning lines has increased. Therefore the lenses require a much higher performance than conventional SDTV lenses (HDTV lenses also perform very well with SDTV cameras).
