Remote Zoom controllers are available to control the Sony PMW-EX1 and PMW-EX3 Camcorders. These models have a unique 8 pin connection unlike the Lanc or Remote Jack connection utilised on the vast majority of smaller HD camcorders.

The controllers attach to a Tripods pan bar and allow smooth and controllable zooms with record start/stop function. This allows the operator to concentrate on the shot rather than fumbling with the camcorders zoom rocker whilst the camcorder is tripod mounted.
