In the 80’s Industrial and Professional Video Production was a costly affair. Due to the loss of image quality that Analogue Video signals suffered from in both the Linear VTR editing and format duplication process stages , huge investments were made in ensuring that the original image quality was maintained to the highest standard possible. Typically a Professional on-line editing suite would comprise of three or more vtrs, a vision mixer, timebase correctors, four or more monitors, editing controller, Waveform vectorscope, audio mixer and caption generator.

Digital Media Equipment

Todays market is very different. Digital Media equipment of Broadcastable quality has never been so affordable and easy to maintain. The on-line Editing process is now mainly computer based, replacing the majority of hardware that was historically required.

Broadcast quality productions can now be achieved with much lower budgets and High Definition acquisition and editing formats both tape and tapeless are set to change the process even further bringing new applications and expanding the use of Digital media production worldwide

From DV to Hard disc , Solid State and Optical Disc. Should you have any queries or require any advice regarding format choice or compatibility, please call our sales team for further help.
