Hard Disk drives are becoming more and more common in the broadcast environment. Many have standard VTR style commands for record, playback and full function FFW and REW. Data Video provides the DN300 hard disk drive which has the capability of recording over 18 hours of continuous footage.
Sony Silver Support
Sony's HVR-DR60 Hard Disk Drive is compatible with their complete range of HDV camcorders. It comes with Sony's 2 Year Silver Support and boasts the ability to record in DV, DVCAM and HDV. Focus Enhancements do a range of hard disk drives with varying memory sizes. The Focus FS4 products are designed for hand held camcorders and offer the Direct-To-Edit technology.
