Panasonics P2 solution provides a robust and rugged format which is HD ready and removes the requirement to ingest material in real time. The P2 format can be accessed instantly from the P2 card. To support the format, Panasonic have released several machines.
Front Panel LCD
The AJ-PCD10 features five PCMCIA slots and is connected via USB. The data transfer is 20 times faster than from tape. The AJ-SPD850 also features five P2 slots and has the same jog and shuttle features that you have come to expect from a VTR. The front panel LCD allows you to view thumbnails of the recorded footage.
