Vision Mixers & DVEs
Vision mixers allow multiple cameras to be connected and alternated, providing an output to a recorder or live screen. These can be used for studio or live event recording, or to provide live screen outputs at events. Since camera outputs are cut between in real time, hours of editing can be saved.
Smooth, Synchronised Switching
Vision mixers are available for cameras of every level. From composite and Y/C input and output right up to broadcast standard SD and HD SDI. Vision Mixers can also be built into flight cases with monitors to provide mobile studios.
Many vision mixers have built in time base correctors to allow smooth synchronised switching between multiple sources. Some include computer inputs that can be scaled to SD or HD.
Vision mixers can add transitions like cross fades between cameras or sources. Some have sophisticated DVE's and keying circuits for 2D and 3D effects, and chromakey.
