A wireless microphone system is basically a single transmitter and single receiver with a handheld or lavalier microphone. There are 'non-diversity' (single antenna) systems or 'diversity' (dual antenna) systems.
A diversity system enables the transmitted audio to be picked up on either antenna. Should one of them experience unwanted reception interference or weaker signal strength, the other antenna will automatically switch over to the strongest signal, ensuring stable RF performance.
At Pro AV we have a great range of wireless microphones to choose from - feel free to speak to us via Live Help below or contact us on 01442 292930.
