These terms and conditions are set in place to protect both you the consumer and us the supplier.
Before You Buy
You are invited to browse our website and peruse the items on offer.
We are aware that many of our customers know exactly what they want and have no difficulty in making their decision, however if you have any concerns about your expectations of equipment capabilities or compatibility issues with existing equipment, please call (01442 292929) or e-mail us (info@proav.co.uk) for clarification. We are delighted to be of service to you and want you to be entirely happy with your purchase.
Order Acknowledgement
When you place an order with us you will automatically receive an order acknowledgement via e-mail this is to let you know we have received your order. The status of you order can be viewed on your unique account which is created the first time you order from us. The display of items for sale on our website is only an invitation to treat, a binding sales agreement is not created until we have issued a sales invoice which will be on despatch of the goods.
All prices shown on our website are for online credit and debit card purchases only. Please note that Proactive UK Ltd will not be responsible for typographical, pricing or other errors and reserves the right to cancel any orders based on such errors. All products and prices displayed on this website are for guide purposes only. We are not responsible for any exceptions or omissions.
All prices are shown both with and without VAT. When you arrive at the checkout VAT is already included in the price of the product and is displayed as a separate value for your reference.
Stock Status
Most of the items in our online shop are in stock. In the event that the item(s) you require are temporarily out of stock we will notify you by e-mail within 24 hours with an expected delivery date. If you are unable to proceed with the order owing to the extended delivery times you are free to cancel the order.
Delivery
We are able to deliver to most countries in the world. Shipment is dispatched via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or by one of our contracted courier companies. For UK orders placed before 15:30 we aim for next-day delivery. Our next-day service is ONLY available on items which are in stock at our warehouse. A signature will be requested on receipt.
Please note that next day delivery does not include delivery at the weekend. If you require Saturday delivery, please select Saturday delivery at the checkout and the appropriate cost will be given. Standard delivery for orders placed on a Friday will be the following Monday.
Upon receipt of your order, please ensure that the device is in good working order. If there are any apparent faults, you are entitled to return the product.
Damage in Transit
Please check your package upon arrival. If goods arrive in a damaged condition you must make a note on the carrier's delivery consignment note before the driver leaves and you must inform us within 48 hours of delivery.
Shortages
It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of goods as shown on the packing note on the box. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note before the driver leaves and you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
Please note that Proactive UK Ltd will not be liable in the event of late or non delivery. If you are not at home when delivery is made a card will be left by the courier company and a second attempt will be made on the next working day. We will endeavour to assist you in contacting the courier company to arrange redelivery or collection from their depot, however we are unable to redirect goods to a different delivery address for security purposes. If a second delivery failure is made, the goods will be returned to us. A further charge may then be made for redelivery.
We will attempt delivery to you under most circumstances however we cannot be held liable for non delivery in the event of war, riots, civil disturbances, fire, strikes, accidents and in the event that we find it impossible to obtain supplies.
Please note that for security reasons delivery is made to the card/account holder's address only.
Returns
For whatever reason all returns require prior authorisation from us in order that we may speedily resolve any problem or complaint you may have. All authorisations will be given a unique reference number. We will not be responsible for lost or damaged items during transit. We recommend that all items are suitably packed and insured.
Warranty (Faulty Goods)
All goods are covered for defects by warranty. For new items, manufacturers warranty terms apply. For second hand goods we offer 3 months parts and labour from receipt of goods. A returns authorisation number must be obtained prior to return. You are responsible for returning defective goods to us within 8 working days of obtaining authorisation. We will endeavour to repair or replace defective items as soon as reasonably possible. If no fault is found we reserve the right to pass on return delivery costs. Please note that general usage which render the goods in need of a service are not covered by warranty, neither are items which have been misused, dropped or otherwise damaged.
Cancellation (distance selling)
If you change your mind after receipt of your order and wish to cancel, you must notify us in writing within 8 working days of receipt of the goods.

We will acknowledge your return request by e-mail, fax or letter and give you a Return Authorisation Code and details of where the goods should be sent. Items must be returned as new within 8 working days of the acknowledging e-mail in their original packaging with all supplied contents included (accessories, manuals, cables etc). All items removed from original packaging for examination must be handled with care and replaced in the manufacturers packaging as they were when received. This must then be suitably packed (either in a separate carton or in protective paper) to avoid transit damage and to protect the manufacturers packaging. The insured cost of return postage will be your responsibility. It is recommended that a recorded delivery service is used. A refund will be given once the item has been returned and inspected by us. We reserve the right to deduct any return delivery / recovery costs incurred. We aim to undertake this within 24 working hours from receipt.
We regret that unless items are certified as faulty, refunds cannot be made in the following circumstances:
- the item has been opened and used
- missing accessories
- any product security seal opened or removed
- any serial / key code of licensed software has been activated
- a non- stock item has been specially bought in at your request
- an item has been specially upgraded to your specification
This clause applies to consumer sales only. It does not apply to business transactions.
