Hawkwoods HB-5D has been specifically designed as a lightweight power solution for Canon's 5D/7D camera. The adaptor attaches via the cameras hot shoe then the fixed dummy cable is placed into the LP-E6 battery compartment.
The HB-5D uses mini DV batteries (NPF/L-Series)
