PL Mounting Adapter II
This newly designed PL mounting adapter enables the TERRA to support PL lenses right after you mount it on the KineMOUNT. It is easy to mount to the KineMOUNT.
Features:
Support Cooke i/ protocol: the new PL adapter has electronic contacts to support Cooke i/ protocol which can recognize lenses with Cooke i/ protocol and read lens information
Simple but reliable connection: the new PL mounting adapter matches KineMOUNT perfectly without any cables
Lightweight: specially designed for the TERRA, it weighs only 180g, but still reliable and robust
Note:Power down your camera when swapping different adapters, the camera or adapter may be burned if it isn't.
Kinefinity PL Mounting Adapter w/ e-ND
The e-ND on TERRA brings sharp images without any drawbacks of traditional variable ND.
Compared to traditional optical glasses, electronic ND (Electronic Neutral Filter) has a lot of advantages: eliminating the ND filters at the front of lenses; it adjust the exposure seamlessly over a very wide range. The e-ND developed by Kinefinity is also is available on the EF Type.
So far, there are two types of PL mounting adapters for different scenarios:
Regular PL mounting adapter without any filters: Clear, 0 stop;
New PL mounting adapter with e-ND in this page: 0.6~3.0, 2~10 stops; iris.
Note:
- The Mounting Adapter with e-ND can not be set to Clear, so you need to have a regular mounting adapter for low-light conditions or interior shoots
- When shooting on some special liquid crystal materials, the image may show an inevitable colour shift
- The surface of e-ND is AR-coated glass, any damage or scratches are out of warranty
