The RIG-8HKOR is designed to carry large camera rigs fully assembled or with minimal disassembly of the rig components. The frame is constructed using a lightweight hollow-core plastic surrounded by thick foam padding. The unique flared-top shape was specifically designed to accomodate both the removable wheel system at the bottom (narrow) and large matteboxes or rig handles at the top (wide). The lid can be expanded to fit over tall rig handles.

The bottom interior of the case is lined with a soft, anti-skid material that helps keep the rig from sliding inside the case. There are also two (2) tie-down straps that fully secure the camera rig in place during transport. The interior side-walls are lined with the soft-side of Velcro fastener so that Porta-Brace Divider Kits (sold separately) can be positioned anywhere inside the case.

The case exterior is made using abrasion-resistant 1000-denier Cordura®. There is a layer of anti-skid rubber material along the bottom of the case to add an additional level of waterproofing. The rubber material also makes it easier to clean mud and dirt from the bottom of the case. Since large camera rigs are often heavy, the RIG-8HKORK comes with two convenient ways to transport equipment:

1) A comfortable backpack with padded lumbar support

or

2) A removable off-road wheel system

The backpack straps and lumbar support pad are lined with breathable mesh to allow for airflow and thick, comfortable padding. There is a chest strap, waist-belt with a large plastic clip, and weight adjustment straps to ensure the case and equipment can be carried securely and comfortably on your back.

The off-road wheels have solid rubber tires, ball bearings, and strong steel axles that allow the case to roll easily over almost any surface. The wheels can be easily removed and carried separately to prevent them from being snagged, bent or broken during air or van travel.

There is a large pocket on the lid, perfect for carrying c-stands, cables, and other accessories. There are also cinches on the lid for attaching a larger tripod. There are 2 medium exterior pockets and 2 small exterior pockets for carrying all sorts of accessories.
