Roland R-05 MP3 Recorder

The Roland R-05 is a compact, affordable, easy to use high quality stereo recorder that can record over 16 hours on 2 AA batteries. Perfect for vocals, instruments, lectures and meetings, the built in mic will capture all that is needed clearly.

The Roland R05 is a cost effective version of the R-09 and carries the same 24bit / 96kHz uncompressed stereo recording straight onto SD/SDHC card through either the built in stereo microphone or stereo line input. The R-05 integrates fluidly with PCs and Macs via USB 2 but the hand held field recorder has on board editing built in so you can trim, divide, combine and even reverb on the move.

At this price point, the R-05 is aimed at more than just the musician. The R-05 is also great for non-musical applications such as lectures, speeches, meetings... it can even be used as a high quality portable WAV/MP3 player.

Key Features -

  • High-quality stereo recording (24-bit / 96kHz) with the built-in stereo mic or external input
  • Records directly to SD card with extended battery life (over 30 hours continuous playback, over 16 hours continuous recording)
  • Strong, attractive metallic exterior
  • Onboard editing functions; built-in reverb
  • Music-practice features (change tempo without changing pitch, loop playback, etc.)
  • Auto record start, auto song split, auto level adjust
  • Pre Record function (captures 2 seconds of audio that precedes pressing REC)
  • Use as a high-quality portable audio player (plays WAV and MP3 files)
  • Windscreen and tripod mount included

Terms and Conditions

As of the 1st September 2010 all Roland products come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty, which can be extended to three years (five years for Boss compacts, LX, HP and HPi Pianos purchased from 01/06/12) if you register your product with us within 90 days of purchase. Once you register, you’ll be issued with your unique registered user number.

The extended warranty applies only to products bought from authorised dealers of Roland UK Ltd and Eire. This warranty and technical support does not extend to any products bought from outside the UK, or from any UK-based company other than authorised dealers of Roland UK Ltd. If you are considering buying an instrument from outside the UK then read our consumer warning.

When you register your product for warranty with Roland UK, you must provide purchase information including the serial number, which is then checked to determine if the unit was sourced through us. If the unit’s serial number is not recognised by our system, you will be referred back to the retailer from whom you bought the unit. If the serial number is recognised, the registration is completed and you will be issued with a unique registered user number, which you can use to contact our customer service team, access our free technical support service, or return a product for repair.

Any products not registered within 90 days of purchase and requiring a repair in the second and third year of ownership will attract a £30 administration fee per product. There is no additional charge if paying by credit card.

*Please note that the free warranty that Roland offers is non-transferrable
