The Rode NTG-1 lightweight condenser shotgun mocrophone has been specifically designed for professional applications with the film, television, video and ENG industries.
With Its full frequency response, low noise and audio transparency it makes the Rode NTG1 make an ideal film, video, and voice over microphone, while its low weight (105gm/3.7oz) makes it an ideal boom microphone also.
In addition to the native 20Hz-20kHz frequency response a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded.
Included also is the WSVM windshield , this is to minimise light wind noise and plosives during recording.

The Softie Windshield provides a quick, simple, robust and cost effective windshield for the tough environment of modern day ENG and location recording.
The Softie Windshield is a slip-on open-cell foam, with integral fur cover. The Softie will reduce wind-noise, protect your mic and is the standard world wide in TV. Softie windshields are available in a large range of sizes to fit most popular shotgun microphones.
Rycote InVision Softie Lyre Mount MHR
The new Softie Lyre Mount with MHR replaces built-in or accessory camera mounts or clamps, and is supplied with three sets of metric screws (20mm-long M2.5, M3 and M4 types), allowing the mount to be connected directly to many common camcorders, such as the Panasonic DVX-series, Sony NXCAM, DSR, HVR, PMW and HDR-series, and many Canon X-series models.
Although many camcorders have built-in or add-on microphone holders or clamps allowing users to attach high-quality shotgun or rifle mics to their camcorders, these are susceptible to camera and general handling noise, and do little or nothing to attenuate vibrations passing through connected video and microphone cables.
The mic clip, based on Rycote's established and patented Lyre technology, accommodates mics from 19 to 25mm in diameter and up to 300mm in length (including the slab-sided Sennheiser MKH range).
The virtually indestructible W-shaped Lyre clips are made of hard-wearing, heat-resistant thermoplastic, and do not perish like elastic suspension systems. In the Softie Lyre Mount, they dramatically reduce the effects of the unwanted vibrations that can reach the mic capsule in undamped mic suspensions and are heard as noise, whines or low-frequency thumps.
On a camcorder, the Softie Lyre Mount is particularly effective at reducing or eliminating lens motor and cable-borne noise. The mount can be rotated and tilted freely on any axis, and may be stored in bags with a mic still fitted. The mount can also be removed quickly should it be required, leaving the MHR in place on the camcorder.

The Rycote Tac!T filter is an in-line, active "third-order" (18dB/octave) filter with a "knee" at approximately 60Hz. This enables it to pass, unaffected, virtually all of the desired audio, while massively reducing wind and handling noise, and floor transmitted vibrations. The energy in these extreme low frequency and infrasonic sounds can be very high, and if not attenuated, would otherwise cause overloads and disturbances across the entire audio spectrum.
The Tac!T filter draws its power from the P48 phantom supply while also passing power on to the microphone. It is electronically symmetrical and does not disturb the intrinsic balance of the microphone circuit, nor does it introduce any signal loss for normal programme frequencies.
A key feature of the Tac!T filter is that it fits entirely within the body of a Neutrik XX-series XLR connector. It is not switchable, and the electronically buffered circuitry ensures that its performance is consistent for almost all phantom-powered microphones and preamplifiers in general use.
Tac!T is a fully symmetrical balanced 3rd order filter. It has a DC path through it so that it can couple phantom power as well as signal.
