Currently the smallest and brightest fisheye lens available (as of May 2014), the Samyang 8mm T3.1 UMC lens has been designed for mirrorless cameras with APS-C sized sensors and has a full 180 degree diagonal field of view.
This lenses is also fitted with follow focus teeth for ultra smooth adjustment of both focus and aperture. This makes possible the fast and noiseless adjustment of depth of field and focal plane during recording.
Optically the lens has two aspherical elements for very high levels of sharpness and employs UMC multi-layer anti-reflection coatings for high contrast and highly accurate colour mapping.
To facilitate reading of the focus scale and aperture, the indexes has been marked parallel to the lens's optical axis. The lens has been designed for cameras fitted with high resolution sensors (above 24m pixels). Despite its compact sizes, the glass provides exceptional optical quality and high image parameters.
