Manual focus fish-eye cine lens
Samyang’s 8mm T3.8 VDSLR II UMC Fish-eye CS is a manual focus fish-eye cine lens, designed for use on DSLRs with APS-C sensors. It has been carefully designed for professional film and video work, with the focus gear ring allowing the use of follow focus systems. The decoupled aperture changes quietly and smoothly via a second gear ring.
The T number of 3.8 refers to the actual light transmission, while distance scales are marked on both sides of the lens to allow easy and precise control. This lens features 10 elements in 7 groups including a hybrid aspherical element (H-ASP). This H-ASP element minimises colour aberration to give exceptional image quality and high contrast. Samyang’s Ultra Multi Coating (UMC) technology optimises light transmission to minimise flare and ghosting. A detachable petal-shaped lens hood is supplied.
