Now the Saramonic UwMic 9 kit isn't the newest product on the market, but its definitely something to keep in mind, especially if you're looking for an affordable wireless microphone set that can receive audio from two transmitters. In this category, it is possibly one of the cheapest options at the moment for a wireless lav mic set, which can receive audio from two transmitters.
Looking at the UwMic9, it's very clearly inspired by the design of the Sony wireless lav mics, but are slightly bigger and heavier than the Sony's. Which could be an issue for hiding the bodypack, or if it weighs down your talents pockets. But it's important to note that currently, this dual transmitter system is around half the price of its competition, so a little added weight and size, we feel, is easily forgiven. The design of the mics is simple enough to operate, our only gripe is that there isn't an actual mute switch like on the competition, instead, you have to hold down one of the buttons, to mute the transmitter. There is a light which comes on to indicate when the mic is muted, but a physical switch would be a much preferable option.
In terms of audio quality, in the video above, we test the UwMic9 against the Sennheiser G4's, and the UwMic9 held up surprisingly well! If you listen closely, there is a slight difference in audio quality, and you'll have to have a listen for yourself to see if you like the sound from the Saramonic. But generally speaking, the Saramonic sounds very good, and for the price, you can't argue at all.
