Philip Bloom on shooting with the Kinefinity Mavo

Recently, we hosted a Kinefinity open day with Philip Bloom, which was a brilliant success, lots of you turned up and there were a lot of questions asked about all of Kinefinitys cameras.
Before the day started, we got the chance to quickly speak to Philip about his experiences with both the Terra 4K, which he is currently primarily using, and the Mavo, which we loaned to him earlier in the month.Kinefinity Philip Bloom

Whats so exciting about these cameras is that they are both the same size, weight and even take the same accessories. Now the Terra 4K does still have some advantages over the Mavo, such as its dual native iso, and being a more cost-effective alternative, and because all of the lens mounts and accessories are interchangeable between the cameras, if you choose to upgrade, you don't need to buy a range of new accessories to go with the camera.

Does anyone know if the kineback works on the Mavo? Or do you have to buy the kineback-w?

      Hi Ben
The Kineback has now been replaced with the Kineback-W. The Kineback-W uses contact pins to communicate while the older Kineback uses a ribbon cable.
The MAVO has these pins, as do all Terra 4K units made from this point onwards. So they will work with the Kineback-W, not the older Kineback.
      Hope that helps
      Carl
